What is Hops & Sessions?

It's the Tri-Valley's first self-pour taproom, open in downtown Livermore since 2018. You sign in, grab a wristband, and pour your own beer, cider or wine straight from a wall of about 30 rotating taps, paying by the ounce as you go. It's a different setup than a regular bar, and it's built a following in Livermore over the past eight years.

Where would the Alameda location go?

Right on Park Street, in the building that used to be Bank of America's Alameda Main branch at Park and Santa Clara. That branch has been closed for a while now, and the storefront has sat empty, so a confirmed tenant matters even before anything opens. State records list Town Hall Management Group II, Inc., the company behind Hops & Sessions, as the licensee at that address.

When will it open?

There's no date yet. The state's license record still lists the premises as under construction, a hold that's been in place since May 2025.
