After the Ball: FAAS Gala Lands at Alameda Point Oct. 16
FAAS's 15th annual fundraiser moves into a WWII-era hangar at Gold Bar Distillery, with tickets coming soon.

Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter just locked in a date and a striking new venue for its biggest fundraiser of the year. The 15th annual After the Ball gala happens October 16 inside a WWII-era hangar at Alameda Point, and it's worth marking your calendar now even though tickets aren't on sale yet.
When and where After the Ball happens
The gala runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 16, at Gold Bar Distillery, 2505 Monarch Street. That's the old Building 22 hangar on the former naval air station, part of the string of tasting rooms out there that people have taken to calling Spirits Alley. FAAS says tickets are coming soon and pointed people to aftertheball.org for updates.

Why this matters for Alameda's pets
FAAS isn't a random charity asking for your money.
