Girl Scouts Brownie Craft and Tinker Badge Workshop

Brownies will transform authentic vintage vacuum tubes into their own colorful creations, such as adorable snowmen, buzzing bees, or anything they can imagine. Girls will paint, decorate, and assemble their unique projects while learning how vacuum tubes helped power early radios and electronics.

It’s a hands-on way to mix creativity, crafting, and a little radio history, and each Brownie gets to take her creation home!

By completing the activities in this workshop, Brownies will fulfill the requirements for and receive the Craft and Tinker badge.

Adult supervision is required onsite. Troops must maintain GSNorCal’s required adult-to-girl ratio. Girls attending individually must have a parent or guardian remain onsite.

Parents and chaperones attend free of charge and are welcome to enjoy a complimentary museum tour.
